MOOD: festive!

wow.  what a year.  i know we've got another 8 days or so of 2007, but wow.  this year has been full of extreme ups and downs, intense excitement, anxiety, let downs, rebirths, and realizations.  at least for me.  at the end of each year i always look back and try to identify how i've changed.  some things are always the same, others are in constant transformation, but i finally feel like i'm really turning into the person i'm meant to be.  hm.

how's that for new years' cheesy?  in other news...  i saw ingrid michaelson last week at bowery ballroom.  and DAMN!  she rocked my little ol' world.  i had such a fantastic time.  it was amazing to watch her-- she was giddy.  she's on the verge of becoming this mainstream successful artist (the living room one minute, webster hall and vh1 the next) and it was adorable to watch how excited she was when the crowd knew her songs well enough to sing them for her.  i've never met her, but she seems very endearing.  and i just love her music.  i also enjoyed the opening acts for her -- dan torres and jenny owen youngs.  both really unique.  as soon as i pay these holiday bills i'm buying their albums off itunes.

speaking of albums, i'm IN THE STUDIO next weekend.  this is the best way i could think to spend the last few days of 2007.  i'm hoping to record 6 songs, pretty ambitious given my budget, but thats the plan.  i'm hoping we'll be done by february, with a CD release party in march/april.  stay tuned!

other than that, eat too much pie, drink too many holiday cocktails and HAPPY 2008!!!!
