man, it's been a long weekend.  friday night was a classic night in the city, homemade dinner, good beer and karaoke; saturday was a ridiculous mess of gump in new haven; and sunday was more beer, more screaming and the f'in GIANTS.  that game was unreal.  so i had a great time overall, but come monday i was exhausted and definitely coming down with something.  called in sick today and am spending the day in bed.  well, as much as possible.  i'm trying to rest up. 

rest up because february is going to be a big month.  i'm working like crazy, because i've been trying to save as much as possible to put toward this demo.  which i've been putting a fair amount of time into recently, but it's only going to get more intense this month.  i'd really like to finish all the vocal and instrumental recordings so that come march we can focus on mixing/mastering and have the final product done by april.  this is something i've been waiting years to do, so i have high expectations-- and i'm just really hoping it all comes through.  on top of that my parents are coming into nyc at the end of this month.  i'm super excited because its been a while since they have been here to visit me together.  add to that, i booked a gig at unwined while they are here, and i just can't wait.  it is going to be an amazing show and i'm really looking forward to it. 

beyond that, i've been trying to avoid drama lately.  i've just got my ipod set to mary j. on repeat...
