MOOD: re-energized

well, it has been an interesting few months.  i came down with walking pneumonia last month, which was NO fun.  i was out of commission for a good three weeks, then back in the game just in time for my gig at UnWINEd.  which, can i just say, was the best gig i've had in a loooong time.  it felt so good to get out there... the musicians were amazing, the music was fresh, the audience was amazingly receptive, and we just had a killer time.  my parents were in town, and they finally got a real taste of what i've been spending all my energy on for the past two years.  unfortunately, i ran myself completely dry after that -- no sleeping, lots of working, (prob) too much partying and am still recovering.  the pneumonia is gone, which is great, but i'm still just a bit under the weather.  sadly, that's kept me out of the studio, so we are going to postpone the release until mid-may.  its a bit frustrating, but frankly, i'd rather it be perfect than having to rush through it.  so i'm putting myself on vocal rest for the next few days, and hopefully i'll be ready to go by next week.  i did put a few rough edits up on my myspace page and my facebook page, so take a listen when you've got a minute!  we also have some tracks up from the UnWINEd gig, so yeah.  enjoy :).

aside from that, i am lucky enough to be doing a bunch of travelling these days.  just got back from south carolina last week, and it was amazing.  i was visiting a friend who goes to school down there, and he showed me an amazing time.  charleston totally won me over.  it was absolutely beautiful (and i saw dolphins!).  then, get this-- next week i'm going to london!  its a (kick-ass) last minute trip with my roommates, and i cannot wait.  going to be awesome.  the week after that it's back to new haven for the h/y softball game, then the week after that is a trip to houston for a good friend's wedding!  and that's just april.  busy busy, but i'm trying (very hard) to keep my priorities in check.  so this demo is on it's way.  i swear.
